Keeping a promise to the earlier international visitor, Getachew Mengistie, Director of Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office (EIPO), Professor Chandler scheduled his time to travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in July 2007. During his trip, Professor Chandler visited government officials, law makers, inventors, businessmen, and had a lecture in Ethiopian IP office. Also, Professor Chandler gave some recommendations to the Director of EIPO with respect to how to improve their IP system for the benefits of Ethiopians after he talked to employees in EIPO and knew how they operated.
